UTM and CETT-UB Sign Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Higher Education Cooperation in Spanish-Speaking Countries
MACAU, September 15 - Macao University of Tourism (UTM) is actively expanding its higher education cooperation network in Spanish-speaking countries. On 14 September, UTM and CETT Barcelona School of Tourism, Hospitality and Gastronomy, affiliated with the University of Barcelona (CETT-UB) signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen academic collaboration and create new opportunities for student and faculty exchange, and knowledge sharing between the two institutions.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Connie Loi, Acting Rector of UTM, and Dr. David Peguero Manzanares, Director of Corporate Development of CETT-UB, at the first-phase campus of the Macao-Hengqin International Education (University) Town. The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation in a number of strategic areas, including student and faculty exchanges, academic development activities, and other projects of mutual interest.
This collaboration further expands UTM’s global cooperation network, consolidates its position as an international hub for tourism education, and strengthens ties with educational institutions in Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking countries.
Through this agreement, UTM and CETT-UB reaffirm their commitment to fostering educational excellence, promoting cross-cultural understanding, and contributing to the sustainable and innovative development of the global tourism and hospitality sector.
