MADRID, SPAIN, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Labiana, a Spanish pharmaceutical group specializing in the development, manufacture, and marketing of medicines for animal and human health and listed on BME Growth, continues to advance its international growth strategy through new milestones in Europe and Latin America, both in pipeline development and commercial expansion.

Specifically, as part of the regulatory advancement of its human health pipeline in strategic European Union markets, the company has obtained two marketing authorizations in Sweden and two additional authorizations in Portugal for medicines containing empagliflozin, an oral antidiabetic agent. It has also obtained two marketing authorizations in the Netherlands for medicines containing octreotide, which is used to treat certain endocrine and digestive disorders. These authorizations represent further progress in the development of Labiana’s human health pipeline.

Additionally, in collaboration with one of Latin America’s leading pharmaceutical companies, Labiana has secured the first five marketing authorizations for Precyst®, its women’s health dietary supplement formulated with D-mannose and cranberry extract. Under this agreement, Labiana will supply the product in seven Latin American countries, marking a milestone that reinforces its ability to generate value through international agreements and the commercial expansion of its portfolio.

LAUNCH OF TWO INJECTABLE VETERINARY MEDICINES

These regulatory advances in the human health portfolio are complemented by the recent launch in Spain of two veterinary medicines. The first is an injectable formulation containing robenacoxib for the treatment of pain and inflammation in dogs and cats, while the second is an acepromazine-based sedative and preanesthetic for dogs. With these launches, the company continues to expand its commercial portfolio, demonstrating Labiana’s ability to translate regulatory development into commercial execution.

These milestones form part of the Group’s growth strategy and follow Labiana’s strongest financial performance to date in 2025, when the company generated revenue of €75.2 million, up 13.5% year on year, and increased its profit twelvefold to €2.6 million. This performance was driven by growth in both the animal health and human health businesses, as well as by the expansion of the Group’s product portfolio and the increasing internationalization of its products.

Currently, the Group’s products are marketed in more than 114 countries thanks to its regulatory, industrial, and development capabilities, as well as its international agreements.

According to Sandra Villagrasa, CEO of Labiana, “These new registrations and launches represent another step forward in the execution of our international growth strategy and reflect the strength of our regulatory, industrial, and development capabilities. Securing authorizations in European markets and advancing out-licensing agreements across different markets continue to strengthen Labiana’s position as a pharmaceutical group capable of developing, manufacturing, and bringing animal and human health products to scale internationally.”
